Since the bridge has recently been repainted and it is now a bright green colour I though it would make a nice subject for the banner competition.<br />This was a wide angle pic that was cropped aggressively to achieve the banner size. A little bit of photoshopping. Well for one the eagle eyed amongst you may notice that the street has been reversed. The photo just flowed much better as a banner from left to right. Thanks Squid.<br />It was an opportunistic photo taken from the side of the Cornmarket building near lyric fm. The subject is the gold (colour) statue of St. Michael the Archangel on top of St Michaels church on Denmark Street. The only photoshop adjustments required were to brighten it up a bit make the sky bigger so it could be used as a banner and to remove a bit of lightening rod that was sticking out the side of the Angel.<br />I have a feeling the competition for February is going to be alot tougher as people like <a href="http://www.kimododreams.com/lette/?p=308#comments">Lette</a> have now shown an interest (check out her <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lette_applejuice">flickr</a>). <a href="http://www.latchiko.com/">Latchiko</a> is no slouch either his stuff is excellent.
