Limerick Blogger Banner competition

Anonymoose has had a banner image selected to be the Limerick Blogger banner for January
Wohoo. Thanks Squid.
It was an opportunistic photo taken from the side of the Cornmarket building near lyric fm. The subject is the gold (colour) statue of St. Michael the Archangel on top of St Michaels church on Denmark Street. The only photoshop adjustments required were to brighten it up a bit make the sky bigger so it could be used as a banner and to remove a bit of lightening rod that was sticking out the side of the Angel.
I have a feeling the competition for February is going to be alot tougher as people like Lette have now shown an interest (check out her flickr). Latchiko is no slouch either his stuff is excellent. His entry was very good.
Thanks to everyone who voted.

Well done - it's a great shot! And it looks really well as a banner too. I'm looking forward to watching how it progresses as the months go by, hopefully it will have enough interest to keep it going. It would be a shame if it didn't because there is plenty of photography talent around the city and it's a great way to showcase it.
